Disabled Insured Testimonials

4/21/08

Dear Gerry:

I want to take this opportunity to thank you so much for your expert help in attaining my disability benefits from my insurance company.  I knew the time had come that I no longer could practice dentistry.

Your knowledge and availability gave me a great sense of security.

I wish you peace, health and happiness!

Sincerely,

Dear Gerry,

Once again, thank you for helping me to secure disability income benefits from my two (different) disability carriers and from my overhead policy as well.  My personal claim administrator with each company was really impressed by the thoroughness of my completed forms.  And, because of the "clean" forms, payment was received quickly.  They just didn't have a reason to delay sending my benefit!  They actually told me this.

I have talked to several other professionals (dentists and physicians) who have had nothing but trouble with the claim process and I believe it was because they did not have a "pro" like you in their corner.

Because you had alerted me to the common tactics used by the insurance carriers there were very few surprises.  And that was a good thing.

If any of your future clients would like to talk to me, please do not hesitate to give them my number.

I hope you are well and that we can someday shake hands.

Kindest regards,

Dear Gerry,

I just wanted to write you a short not thanking you for your help and assistance on my disability claim.

Although I had practiced law in many fields over thirty-eight years, I was not familiar with the forms and questions the disability company was asking.

Your assistance made it much easier to understand what they were looking for, and how to present it to them.  I have used this knowledge in applying for Social Security disability, which is still pending.

Thanks again,

                            , Esq.

Gerry,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your help and advice which led to me receiving my disability in a quicker manner than either of us could have imagined.  Your thoroughness and understanding of the system made for an outstanding blueprint for me to easily follow.

Gerry, your compassion and patience is incredible.  It has truly been a pleasure working with you.  To say you know the system is an understatement.

My husband and I also must thank you for your continual communication with us.  It is nice to know that you are always available to help us every step of the way.

Fondest regards,

Dear Gerry:

I wanted to thank you for your guidance in helping me navigate the disability coverage application process.  Your guidance in understanding the process from both the claimants and providers views helped get my application processed and approved easier and in much shorter time than what I was told to expect.

As you know, I initially questioned whether I should have waited to sign up with you until after I had experienced a problem, as is typically done and recommended by the attorneys that represent the applicants when applying for Social Security disability.

I now know that I definitely made the proper decision signing with you before I had experienced a problem.  This was a completely different process from how Social Security is handled.

The application and approval process that I had was a much more positive and easier one than others that I know had with their private company disability applications.

Thank you again for all of your help.

Sincerely,

Dear Gerry:

I can't express my deepest gratitude to you on what it has meant to me and my wife with regard to you helping us get through this claim procedure with such success.

You extensive knowledge of the disability claims field has proven to us that without you it would have been a very complicated and detailed procedure which you made so simple to us.

Thank you again for your support and being there when we needed you.

We will keep in touch.  So far, everything is working out great.

Re: Disability Income Concepts
       Gerry Katz, Consultant

Unfortunately, I have had the need to use the services provided by Gerry Katz. This followed a Medical Condition which severely interfered with my ability to continue my Medical Practice full time.

I wanted, needed and was advised to seek professional help in initiating my Disability Claims and took this opportunity to start using the services provided by Gerry Katz.

Make no mistake; this was an invaluable service to me. And, should you be considering a claim, don’t even hesitate to use this service. I am pretty damn smart, but let me tell you something, the Insurance Industry that sold you a Disability Policy, is 5X smarter.

Much of what you think you are insured for is veiled in gray language. If you don’t start the process correctly, and perhaps have someone helping you from the sidelines through the ongoing process, you are almost guaranteed to fail or delay, collecting your disability benefits.

Gerry Katz is a well informed, highly organized, and thorough individual who takes the time to help you through this lengthy and arduous process. He is methodical and knows the thought process of the Insurance Companies. This strength made the difference for me in collecting my Residual Disability Benefits. I have complete trust in his judgment, advice, and when needed, his referrals to other professionals you might need.

Again, do not hesitate to consult with him if you are considering a claim. It is money well spent, and will not only save you from untold hassles with your claims; it could actually save you from a denial of a claim and loss of your disability income.

Sincerely,

                             , M.D.

Dear Gerry,

We wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your services and guidance.  Over the course of the past three years, I have had the good fortune to closely work with you in connection with the disability claim on behalf of my husband, doctor                                  , Jr.

Yours assistance was critical during an extremely difficult time that required extensive and exhaustive interpretation of our policy, the benefit, transactional procedures, and processes that would have a substantial financial impact for my husband and our family.

During this time, you devoted countless hours explaining the implications and provisions of my husband’s disability policy, as well as advising and leading us through the complex claims filing process.   I can recall clearly when we reached out to you, my husband was about to undergo a life-threatening surgery and was counting on me to handle the financial implications of his health situation. Without your expert assistance and commitment, I would have been lost and not have known how or where to begin.  Your assistance was vital to a smooth and favorable determination.  You were thorough, knowledgeable, and extremely responsive – you provided us great comfort about the process and the benefit.  You actually interpreted our policies in such a way that we were able to clearly understand the disability benefit and our rights.

You have always been accessible and, as a direct result of contracting you, we have successfully achieved benefit for the life of our disability claim.   Whenever any questions arise and we have any concerns, we immediately seek your advice and any correspondence about our claim is reviewed by you ---- simply stated, you are an expert on the subject.  Moreover and as important, you are a very kind and engaging person, a consummate professional who has offered us a caring heart along the way of a very difficult and emotional process.

It is our pleasure to have made your acquaintance and we look forward to your continued expertise and guidance.

Best Regards,

Dear Gerry,

I am writing to thank you immensely for the fantastic job you did in guiding me through my disability claim.  After over twelve months of constant proctoring on your part, finally my insurance carrier began to pay my disability claim some months ago.

I thank you for all of your timely and constant advice in getting this accomplished, and also for your continued encouragement when the outcome was uncertain.  I am thoroughly convinced that without your input my claim would not have been settled for the hundred percent of its maximum value.  My family and I thank you once more.

Dear Gerry,

I was thinking today that it was more than two years ago that I first spoke with you, to seek your assistance in helping me to obtain disability benefits through my private insurer.

It is over two years later and I have, thanks to you, been successfully receiving my disability benefits for more than two years.  I believe, with absolute conviction, that it was your expert guidance that has made that possible.

From the beginning, I was very nervous about the claims process and whether I would be treated fairly by my insurer.  I had seen and read of many examples of truly disabled policyholders who, on their own, had been unable to successfully prepare and submit a claim and how often their claims were denied.

Gerry, the best thing I ever did was call you BEFORE I submitted my initial claim.  I absolutely believe it is much better to submit a clean and thorough claim the first time than to try to go back and correct a problem after the fact.  Your expertise in the field of disability insurance coupled with your "inside" knowledge of how these insurance companies operate their claims units are second to none.  From our first conversation, I knew that my chances for a successful claim would be infinitely greater under your guidance and direction.

You've been with me through every step in the process and that has meant the world to me.  I've often thought about how very different things might have been without your help.  You have been so generous with your time on the phone with me and so responsive when I've needed your input quickly.  You have made a huge difference in my life and I am very grateful to have found you.

Warm regards,

Dear Gerry,

At this Holiday time of the year I want to wish you and your family a healthy and happy New Year.

I would be remiss if I also didn't let you know how very grateful I am for your expert knowledge of the insurance industry and your acumen in helping me obtain disability compensation.

Gerry, you painstakingly led me through every detail and step of the way.  You made obvious to me insights and structures of insurance questions that I needed to look at from a different perspective.  It was your guidance that allowed me to continue the process and not give up in despair.

Your expertise and follow-up were more than I expected and I just wanted to thank you and let you know how appreciative I am.

Without you --- I would not be able to get what I was entitled.

Sincerely,

Dear Gerry,

I hope that you and your family are doing well and I trust you will have a great upcoming holiday season.

I just wanted to express in writing my sincere appreciation for your assistance in helping me navigate through the red tape of applying for and receiving the disability benefits.  The advice that you provided was always very accurate and timely and certainly saved me hours and weeks of apprehension concerning the liability of my claim.  In fact, without your assistance there is no guarantee that the claim would have been honored.  I would certainly recommend your expertise to anyone who finds themselves in need of disability advice and assistance.  I also appreciate the fact that I have been able to call you for telephone consultation even a year later when questions have arisen and you have been more than happy to continue to provide counsel.

Thank you for your help and my wife and I wish you and yours a happy and successful new year.

Sincerely,

To Whom It May Concern:

The purpose of this letter is to highly recommend Mr. Gerry Katz and his company, Disability Income Concepts, Inc.

Due to an illness that prevented me from continuing my former occupation as President and CEO of my own company my doctors and I agreed that I should file for my disability insurance benefits.

Since it is very important to correctly fill out the many forms necessary for the filing, my insurance agent recommended that I hire a consultant specializing in disability claims.  Luckily for me Gerry was the one.

Gerry’s demeanor and attitude made a difficult time in my life much easier.  He is meticulous in his work leaving nothing to chance and checking even the smallest detail.

I could not offer a better recommendation for Gerry both personally and professionally.

Thanks to Gerry’s advice and support I was able to successfully force a very uncooperative insurance company to pay my claim.

If for any reason you would like to contact me regarding Gerry please feel free to do so.

Sincerely,

Thomas                        , CEO

Dear Gerry:

Thank you for your help in dealing with my disability insurance policies.  You explained in clear and unambiguous terms the benefits that I was entitled to under the various options of my policies.  You then explained the sequence of interviews and information that would be expected of me.  Furthermore, you explained the meanings of various terms and forms I was required to fill out as well as the written inquiries that I received.

Your expert advice, availability and support in traversing this unfamiliar ground were and remain of great value to me.  I also appreciated your recommendation to seek an attorney when there were legal matters involved.  If ever a friend or colleague should become disabled, I would have no hesitation in recommending you.

Sincerely,

Dear Gerry:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your guidance, advice and support in the preparation for, the filing of and your continued assistance through the complete process of my disability claim.  After our initial conferences and reviewing your resume, together with the very strong recommendation I received from a prominent insurance executive, I was convinced that I had found the right person to help me through, what appeared to be, an overwhelming process.  Your unlimited knowledge, coupled with your vast experience and expertise, made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the claims process.

Gerry, I can without a doubt, say that I could not have made it through the claim process by myself.  It is hard enough to deal with my disability each day.  Your invaluable knowledge, expertise and dedication to your clients are continuously reflected from inception of the claim through the receipt of the disability income checks from the insurance company.

I advise and recommend to anyone who has the privilege of knowing you or being recommended to you, to take advantage of probably one of the best disability claims consultants in the nation.

Thank you again, Gerry, for enabling me to successfully complete my claim and continue to provide support to my family and get on with my life.

You are the Best!!

With my highest regards and sincere thanks,

Dear Gerry,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the help that you have given me.  Since my heart attack last summer my life has been very difficult, and you have helped me tremendously by steering me through the obstacles in the process.  By the process of course, I mean the laborious and aggravating process that the disability carrier puts each and every one of their claimants through.

Your advice and expertise as a consultant made the process much smoother and steadier for me, and ultimately, achieved the goal of receiving the benefits that I paid for and deserve to receive.

Thank you for all your help.  I would highly recommend your services to anyone who happens to be in the unfortunate situation of needing to process a claim for disability benefits.

Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Katz:

As a child my mother was insistent that we write thank you notes when kindness was extended to us.  Saying thank you is good manners, writing thank you is a statement.

My call to you November 2001 came out of the blue.  We were in need of help.  Many people look for what they get from people.  However, you didn't.  You came to our aid although there was no economic gain for you.  Your recommendation of Greg Denes, Esq., was the most significant weapon in our battle with the company.  I interviewed six attorneys and Greg was my gut choice.  Greg was successful in obtaining a lump-sum settlement that ends our relationship with the company.  No amount of money gives back what that company has taken.  However, we can get on with our lives and live without fear.

This note has taken me some time to comprise.  I don't know you and therefore, I don't know what I can say to make you realize your contribution to our lives.  Except to say, we are profoundly grateful.

For all the good people who touch our lives, I say thank you and you made a different.  I don't believe our paths will cross so have a happy, healthy and rewarding life.

Gratefully,

Dear Gerry,

Hi Gerry.  I have been meaning to sit down to write you this note but – as you know, given my back condition – sitting is something that I just try to avoid and that reality easily lead to procrastination.

But I am happy to finally put on paper my thanks for you skilled assistance as I went through the process of filing my disability claim.  It was not easy finally coming to the realization that my deteriorating health left me unable to work as I had so successfully done for the last 25 years.  That is a frightening prospect and one that does not come easily.

In that stressful state it was good to have someone with your perspective and experience to help me properly navigate the disability claim process.  When one is ill and dealing with the stress of a life transition it is important to have the support and guidance of someone who can make sure communication with the insurance company is clear.  That prescription was filled perfectly once I chose you to help me.

Please feel free to share this note with a prospective client.  I hope it offers reassurance and confidence to someone in the position I once was.  That’s not to say the need for your counsel has ended.  As we have discussed, this is a relationship that continues as long as my health is such that my disability claim needs to stay active.  That’s a good feeling of security to have.

I might also add, for benefit of potential clients; you are direct and honest, not always telling me easy answers I may wish to hear, but the truth and facts I absolutely need to know.  You analyze the facts and reality of a situation and use your great knowledge and experience to advise accordingly.

I am very glad to have you in my corner and am sure that any person facing similar straits will be as happy as I am and benefit greatly from your services.  Thanks again, Gerry.

Sincerely,

Dear Gerry:

I would like to thank you for an expeditious resolution of my claim.  I note from our discussions that it was quite difficult concerning the circumstances.  Certainly your extensive knowledge of the claims process as well as the intricacies of the four companies that I was dealing with was instrumental in this more than satisfactory outcome.

I also appreciate the fact that we obviated the necessity for attorney intervention in this dispute.  During those uncomfortable periods of impatience that I experienced, you were a calming and stable force.  I am truly grateful that I was able to put my trust and my family’s trust in your hands.  I had only heard the highest accolades for your services, and your professionalism was confirmed throughout the process of my claim.

Again, my sincerest gratitude and best wishes to your family and to you and your future endeavors.  I would certainly recommend your services if another physician meets the unfortunate circumstances that I have encountered.

JUNE 20, 2002

To Whom This May Concern:

Approximately two to three years ago I began to notice pain in my neck and back region.  This pain became progressively more severe.  Eventually it began to interfere with my daily functions as a physician.  Last year I had to begin working part time because of this disabling pain.  My physicians examined me thoroughly, including x-rays and scans.  They prescribed different modalities of physical therapy treatments and medications.  In addition I underwent neural blocking as well as chiropractic manipulations and acupuncture.  In all I was seen by four physicians in different specialties; two separate physical therapists, a chiropractor and an acupuncturist.

The therapy went on over a period of approximately nine months.  My pain persisted in spite of this intense treatment and I had to stop working altogether because of the disabling pain.  I presently continue seeing my physicians, taking my medications and doing the prescribed therapy exercises.  My physicians considered me to be totally disabled in my medical specialty based on all their medical findings, observations and my inability to fulfill my duties at work.  As my condition did not improve and continued to deteriorate, they were highly concerned about my health and the effect my pain might have on my medical judgment.

Since I had disability coverage insurance I decided to pursue a disability claim.  An acquaintance of mine told me that such a pursuit might be difficult, confusing and fraught with problems that should be addressed at the onset of the claim.  He recommended the services of Mr. Gerald (Gerry) Katz in Weston, Florida as a nationally renowned expert in the field of disability claims.  I got in contact with Mr. Katz who very clearly outlined for me the steps I needed to take to facilitate my claim application, and how to expeditiously fulfill the disability company’s requirements that were asked of me in the claim application forms.

In spite of my advanced education I don’t believe I would have been able to smoothly pursue my claim without Mr. Katz’s aid.  He guided me successfully in pursuing my legitimate disability claim.  For instance, he gave me priceless advise on what procedure to follow when the company was taking longer than usual in processing the claim.  Whenever I called Mr. Katz he was always promptly available, either locally or by long distance, to answer my questions and give me valuable information.  I strongly believe that without him, the claim process would have been extremely difficult and drawn out.  After my claim was accepted by the company there were still issues in which Mr. Katz’s expertise guided me in the right direction.

I understand that he has helped claimants who did not have his guidance at the outset of their claim, and had to resort to his expertise in order to successfully navigate the often times Byzantine claim processing system and its aftermath.

I have to admit that I still call him from time to tome to clear up points and answer questions that come up.  He is always available with correct answers.

I feel fortunate to count him as my advisor in these matters and strongly recommend his services to anyone in a similar situation.

Dear Gerry:

I want to thank you for the excellent job that you have done for my family and me.   As you know, dealing with insurance companies can be very difficult with their tremendous amounts of paperwork.  You have been such a great help to my wife in a very stressful and challenging time in our lives.  I don’t know how she would have managed the overwhelming paperwork from the disability claims department of our insurance companies without you.

I believe that most people have no idea how much an expert like you can help them get through the difficult and challenging times of a disabling accident or disease.  We were so fortunate that a friend of ours told us about you and literally insisted that we contact you to help us manage our disability claims.  You not only are tops in your field, but you are a great guy!

Thanks so much for all you help.  My best wishes to you and your family.

RE: Mr. Gerald Katz

I have known Gerry Katz for approximately nine months. He helped me fill out the disability forms which initially seemed impossible. Through his expertise, persistence and hard work, we were able to successfully complete the applications for my disability policies. I am convinced that without his counsel I would never have completed the forms or would have made major blunders, which would have brought about major delay and most likely litigation. I highly recommend Gerald Katz as a consultant for any disability claim and I would be happy to take any calls regarding his recommendation.

Gerry Katz

To Whom This May Concern:

I came to Gerry Katz through a mutual friend. I knew the world of disability insurance contracts was one with which I lacked familiarity. With so much riding on the outcome, I thought it ill-advised not to hire a professional consultant for this purpose.

From our first telephone conversation, I knew it was right to hire Gerry for this engagement. His insight into the whole process and his knowledge of the various "nooks and crannies" were extraordinary. He was always honest and up-front in his dealings with me – always letting me know what to expect. He knew I hated surprises.

Invariably, questions and issues arose that required instant feedback to satisfy my sometime unreasonable demands. Gerry was always there for me.

The key to professional service is responsiveness. Very few are responsive and accessible to their clients. I always operated that way when I was in practice and it was refreshing to find those same qualities in Gerry Katz.

I highly recommend Gerry for his specialized services.

To Whom It May Concern:

I became disabled due to numbness, paresthesias and pain in my arm and hand because of cervical spondylosis in late 1998. I had undergone neurosurgical cervical operation in December 1996. With the help of my insurance agent, I filed disability claims on nine policies in late 1998 to early 1999. As this process progressed, my agent referred me to Gerry Katz for his advice and help which was initiated in November 1999. Mr. Katz has helped me through this ongoing process in construction of letters to the insurance claims specialists and we have about ended the process in a favorable manner without attorney involvement. We have been at it for nine months and the help provided by Mr. Katz has been timely and tactically on target through out.

I would recommend, that someone with a disability claim, procure the services of Mr. Katz at the outset. Because, if not, you are being led by the company as your claim is being developed. Gerry has been punctual, friendly, and most important, thoroughly knowledgeable about all steps in the claims process.

Sincerely yours,
